Using the Baking Tray
How to Use the Baking Tray in Your Amana Convection Microwave
The baking tray included with your Amana microwave lets you bake, roast, and crisp foods just like a traditional oven. However, because it is designed for convection and combination cooking, using it incorrectly can damage your appliance.
IMPORTANT: Never use the metal baking tray during standard Microwave cooking cycles. Using metal trays during regular microwave cycles causes arcing (sparking) and can permanently damage your microwave cavity. Always use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when removing the baking tray after cooking. It becomes extremely hot.
Quick Cooking Mode Guide
| Cooking Mode | Baking Tray Safe? | Notes |

| Convection or Bake | Yes | Safe to use. Heat circulates like a traditional oven. |
| Roast or Broil | Yes | Safe when using designated radiant heat settings. |
