Water Filter Damaged or Leaking - Top Freezer Refrigerator

What to Do if the Amana Water Filter is Damaged or Dripping?

If you are concerned the water filter may be damaged, there are a few steps you can take to ensure it is functioning correctly.

Check for Damage

  1. Remove the filter and inspect it for cracks or damage
  2. If the filter is cracked or damaged, replace the filter with a new one

Check Installation

If it’s not damaged, the water filter may need to be reinstalled to function correctly.

  1. Check to see if the O-rings are correctly installed on the water filter. If they are damaged or missing, replace the filter.
  2. Ensure the water filter is properly installed. If it is not seated or installed correctly, it could drip.

Ensure the water filter is properly installed and sealed with O-ring.
