Detergent Low will flash on the display when more detergent is needed to be added to the bulk dispenser.  

Reminders when using the bulk dispenser

Do's

• Use only high-efficiency (HE) liquid detergents. Regular detergent (non-HE) will likely result in longer cycle times and reduced rinsing performance.
• Ensure the concentration level is adjusted to the correct setting.

Don'ts

• Place single-dose laundry packets or powder detergent into the dispenser. Add single-dose laundry packets or powder detergent directly to the washer basket.
• Use single-dose detergent and the bulk dispenser simultaneously, this can result in oversudsing and poor cleaning performance.

Are you using HE High-Efficiency detergent? 

Always use only HE detergent. Using non-HE detergent or more than the manufacturer's recommended amount of detergent can cause excessive suds, which can lead to the washer leaking, draining concerns, and/or poor rinsing performance. 

Amana recommends using Swash® Laundry Detergent. It is designed to work in both high-efficiency (HE) and non-HE washing machines. With an 8x concentrated formula, you’ll use about a quarter of the detergent you’d need with a traditional 2x concentration detergent. It may look like a small amount, but you’ll be amazed at its effectiveness.
