If your Amana washer is not filling, check your fill hoses:
Check household faucets
Hot and cold water supply lines must be connected and turned on
Check for kinks in inlet hose
Check Washer Hoses and Water Supply:
Check the household faucets to see if the hot and cold water household water supply lines are turned on. Make sure to open both water supply lines completely for proper fill.
If a cold water wash is selected, the washer is designed to add hot water to keep the temperature optimal for cold wash performance. If you want to save energy by not connecting to the hot water line (or only have access to a cold water line if connected in a garage, etc.), purchase a “Y-connector” and an extra inlet hose to connect the hoses to both sides of the water valve.
Water inlet hose
Check for any kinks in inlet hoses, which can restrict water flow.
If possible, remove the inlet hoses from the back of the washer. To do this, turn the water supply off, then use pliers to remove the hoses. Place hose ends in a bucket to catch water remaining in the hoses. Check the inlet screens on the back of the water inlet valve. If they appear to be clogged, without removing the screen or disturbing the placement of the screen, clean with a brush (an old toothbrush works great) and mild soap and water.
Please note that fill hoses should be replaced every 5 years.

Verify Drain Hose Installation
Verify that your drain hose has not been installed too far into the wall stand pipe. If it is, the washer can siphon and never fill completely.
