Drum Light Not Turning On - Dryer

Possible Solution

Is the power supply correctly connected? Has a household fuse blown, or is the circuit breaker tripped?

If the unit has a plug-in power cord, ensure it is properly plugged in. If power is connected correctly, check your household electrical box to see if a fuse has blown or the circuit breaker has tripped.

Does the bulb need to be replaced?

NOTE: Refer to the Owner's Manual to determine if the light bulb can be accessed and changed.

  1. Unplug the dryer or disconnect the power.
  2. Open the dryer door. Locate the light bulb cover on the back wall of the dryer. Using a 1/4" nut driver or socket wrench, remove the screw located in the lower right-hand corner of the cover. Remove the cover.

  1. Turn bulb counterclockwise. Replace the bulb with a 10-watt appliance bulb only. Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.
  2. Plug into a grounded outlet or reconnect power.
