Replacing the Cooktop Light Bulb on a Amana Low Profile Over the Range Microwave
Your cooktop light should come on when it is selected or when the button is pushed. If the display is on and the microwave is operating, and the light bulb doesn't come on, it might need to be replaced.
To Replace the Light Bulb:
NOTE: There may be one (1) or two (2) bulbs depending on model.
- Unplug or disconnect the power from the microwave.
- Locate the cooktop/vent light bulb, which is located on the underside of the microwave oven.
- Remove the bulb cover screw, and open the bulb cover.
- Remove the bulb.
- Replace the bulb with an incandescent bulb, close the bulb cover, and secure it with a screw.
IMPORTANT: Use only an incandescent light bulb as a replacement. Do not use an LED light bulb.
